He’s a hot football star and a sexy-as-sin single dad. Zac Ledger is everything I never knew I wanted.
A prince on a white horse swooping in to save the day…
Isn’t that every girl’s dream? Maybe for some, but I’ve never expected to find my own happily ever after.
I’ve made one bad dating choice after another, and it doesn’t help that my only example of marriage is my dad leaving my mother before I was even born.
I’ll never be a believer in fairy tales.
So, imagine my surprise when I meet Zac Ledger at my sister’s wedding.
He is the total opposite of my usual type: gorgeous, confident, and genuine.
He’s also athletic, and I am so not.
They call him the GOAT in the NFL…and I didn’t even know what either acronym meant until my sister told me.
But there’s something about him.
One drink.
One dance.
And I’m ready to believe that there are actually good guys out there.
That is, until I overhear him on the phone and I realize he’s just like every other jerk I’ve dated.
When he hires me as his interior designer to come work on his new house, I resist, but he’s persistent.
My goal is to finish the job and keep him at a distance.
But I’m not prepared for the real Zac Ledger or the way he dotes on his adorable little girl.
And when the renovation dust begins to settle, I realize there is more to Zac than his NFL accolades, and maybe, just maybe, he will prove to be the one man in my life that chooses to stick around.

Title: Autumn Nights

Publication Date: January 5, 2023
Genres: Adult, Sports Romance, Contemporary

I loved this book more than time which is why I shirked all responsibility and read this in one sitting. It was emotional, funny, adorable, and realllllly romantic.
Zac is my new favorite book boyfriend. This man had the right amount of flirt and spice mixed with a little bit of blushing and cute dad moments. I will never be over this man. Combine these dashing personality traits with an NFL body and money, and he was THE man. Also, and need I say more, guy falls first. *mic drop*
Autumn was a great FMC for this book. She had daddy issues and past relationship qualms that kept her from fully letting herself fall for a while. Sometimes, I would get annoyed by her jumping to conclusions, because she did it a lot, but then I’d have to remind myself that she didn’t trust easy. Yeah, those moments were annoying as the reader, but they were true to her character which I appreciated.
The last character I have to point out is sweet Ivy. She was so cute and lovely and happy and had my heart in her hands the whole book. She is a deaf character and I loved seeing how that aspect of her shaped the relationships around her (Aster seemed to do research on deaf rep and had sensitivity readers give feedback).
I loved the HGTV vibes from this book. It wasn’t quite as remodel-heavy as Built to Last or Fix Her Up, but still a fun aspect of the book.
I never wanted this book to end and I so hope I get to return to this world in the future. I have to read about Autumn’s sister, Summer, in Summertime, which happens before this book. But it also sounds like we might get a book about Zac’s brother, Jamison? I hope that’s the case because I’m here for it.
