I enjoyed this one much more than the first as there was more magic and more interesting characters.

I had a vague idea of who Rahul and Caterina were from book 1, but it was nice to really get to know them here. I was especially interested in getting to know Caterina as she was the unlikable one in book 1. I think Menon did a fabulous job of developing her character and fleshing out the more important parts of her so we really get a well-rounded look at who she is. Plus, with all her spunk and confidence, it made reading this book so much more fun and made me feel a little more empowered.

Rahul was also a lot of fun to get to know. He is more of a shy character and I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to like him at first. But, of course, I did. Menon has a way of turning all love interests into sparkling princes and princesses. Rahul also had a great development as we see him struggle with the guy he thinks he's supposed to be and the guy he really is. His image in this book is everything and I think there are so many lessons to be learned from Rahul's story.

Overall, I'm happy with the way this book left me feeling and the story I was able to experience. Also, I can't wait to read more of the books in this series!!

One of my favorite summer books is SLEEPAWAY GIRLS by Jen Calonita. I just love books that take place at summer camps and have many strong females as characters. And, of course, I’m a fan of the romance 😍

Have you ever wished to be in two places at once? ONE WAY OR ANOTHER tells the story of a girl who, unable to choose between going on vacation to the city of her dreams or going on vacation with her long-time crush and best friend, lives two different realities.

First, WHAT A RIDE! Second, I am literally brimming over with happiness and hearts as we speak. It's possible I'm going to permanently have heart eyes after reading this book.

McDowell ended each chapter on a cliffhanger and made me wait for the chapter after the next to see how the scene played out. It was maddening and I loved it. It definitely kept me excited to see what happened with each fate.

The love triangle aspect of the book was also well done. There was one part in the book where I was a little conflicted as to who I liked better, but then the end solidified my choice.

As well, I loved being able to learn so much about so many different characters because of the two fates. For example, I never would have learned much about the main character, Paige's, mother if she would have gone only on the vacation in Arizona without her mom. Also, I never would have learned so much about Fitz and his family if Paige only would have gone to NYC. The two fates allowed for more information for the reader and more swoony moments.

I’m hoping to take a weekend trip to Las Vegas this summer, but I don’t have any set plans yet. I want to see all the lights on the strip and the many museums the city has to offer. If any of you have ever been, leave your must see recommendations below!
