Questions from The Peculiar Adventurer:
What time do you typically start your day?
I have to be at work at 7 so I usually wake up at 6 or around 9 on the weekends.
What’s your favorite fast food joint?
I have to stay true to Whataburger. I think it’s mostly located in the southern United States so I always miss it when I go back to school in the North.
Have you ever had a paranormal experience?
I haven’t! But I’ve had friends and cousins visit haunted houses around the country and they always come back with crazy stories.
Are you watching any good Netflix/Hulu shows during quarantine?
I just finished New Girl and Julie and the Phantoms and Get Even and Schitt’s Creek. So, I guess I’ve watched quite a few shows so far. haha
How many pets do you have?
I have one dog, Roxi. She’s a Labrador Retriever.
What is your favorite topic to write about?
Books? Is that too obvious? haha
Favorite podcasts?
I don’t really listen to any podcasts right now, but I’ve been meaning to! Currently taking recommendations.
When was the last time you were embarrassed?
I don’t have any specific experiences coming to mind, but I’m sure I’ve had maannnnnnnny embarrassing moments recently.
Do you have any peculiar talents?
Nothing that comes to mind, but I’ll update y’all if something arises.
What’s your favorite urban legend?
The Bloody Mary legend is a classic one that used to creep me out HARD CORE as a kid.

What’s the best book you’ve read from a recommendation?
The Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier was recommended to me a couple of years ago and I absolutely fell in love with it. If you like YA time travel romance novels, then you’ll definitely want to give this series a try.
What’s a song you’ve had on repeat recently?
I’ve been in a “belting” mood so I’ve been listening to Defying Gravity from the Broadway show Wicked quite a bit recently.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
I usually change out of my pajamas pretty quickly. I hate being in them if I’m not sleeping.
What are some ways that other people can tell that you’re a bookworm?
Other than the fact that I usually read a book on my phone at social gatherings when I’m bored? Haha
What’s something you wish you could be better at and why?
I love music so I’ve always wished I had some kind of musical talent. I think it would be cool to learn how to play the electric guitar or the violin.
If you were the host of a talk show, who would you like to interview? (Fictional, living, dead, anyone!)
Frank Sinatra!!!
What’s the last book that made you cry?
I think it was Broken Hollywood by Lora Richardson. What a great book!
How many places have you lived in?
My home is in Texas so I’ve lived there nearly my whole life. Then, I went to school in Idaho for 3 years. And I also lived in California for 1 year and a half. So 3 places.

Usually at my home.

If you could swap places with a celebrity for one day who would it be?
I think it would be fun to experience a day in the life of a music star, like Taylor Swift, because I’d like to know what it’s like to be able to sing well. Plus, I think it would be cool to stand in the middle of a sold-out stadium knowing they all came there to see me.
One positive thing about yourself?
I recently cut my hair pretty short and I love it!
Candy or chocolate?
This is a tough question, but I know I couldn’t live without chocolate so I choose that one.
Favorite art medium?
Digital. I’m a graphic designer so I prefer graphic art.
Favorite place in nature?
I don’t like nature…But I do appreciate beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
What’s your favorite riddle?
I’m not very good at solving them so I’ve never really thought about it, honestly.
What’s the most ironic thing you’ve seen happen?
Once, my neighbor’s house caught on fire and she’s a fireman.
Cringy memory?
Ohhhhh. So many. Once, I was walking on campus for a solid 10 minutes (at least) and no one bothered to tell me that the back of my skirt was caught in my undies…
Which two people would you like to see in a movie together? (can be absolutely anybody)
Hmm. Maybe Graham Phillips with…literally anyone.
Have you ever pranked someone? if so – what did you do?
Ha! Yeah. I definitely have. Once, my roommates and I covered our friend’s car in post-it notes. It took a while but was a lot of fun.
