This book…I really had high hopes for this book which quickly sank to the bottom of the ocean. I loved the drama of the plot, but things got…no. Just let me explain.
Repetitive. There was no much repetitiveness in this book. It was the FMC, Raven, saying she loved him and he’d never love her. And the MMC, Ares, saying he still had feelings for the sister, but was committed to his wife. And then they sleep together. and the whole thing would start again. It was frustrating and annoying, to say the least.
Most of the times, Ares sounded fake. And almost lyrical in the way he spoke about marriage and Raven. Also, he was so freaking wishy-washy with everything that I couldn’t trust him. I didn’t truly believe the things he was saying about Raven because he kept going back to her sister saying stuff. Ugh.
Lastly, there was basically no plot. Like, Ares and Raven didn’t actually do anything. Ares is a billionaire so I thought they’d do new couple activities together or go on extravagant trips. Or even just have some nice, everyday couple moments. Nope. Not the case. They just had the same argument and internal battle every other chapter until the end of the book.
All of that being said, I love that this series will follow all the siblings having an arranged marriage. I’m going to try to read book two because I think the series sounds interesting, but if I’m disappointed again, I will leave this series behind.

Yeah, unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. She has another book I’m interested in reading though so I’m curious to see if it was just this book or the author’s writing.
