Hi everyone! Another month is here which means new books are coming out!! This month, I’ve broken my list up into some YA and Adult books that I’m highly anticipating this month.
YA Releases:
Goddess in the Machine by Lora Beth Johnson
This new release appeals to me because it sounds like a fresh plotline that I haven’t really heard before. A girl wakes up, after being asleep for over a thousand years, to find she’s on a new planet, her family and friends are long dead, and everyone around her is calling her a goddess. What?! Tell me that’s not nuts! This book will hit the shelves on June 30th.
I Killed Zoe Spanos by Kit Frick
A YA psychological thriller? Yup. I’m in. Anna Cicconi goes to the Hamptons looking for a fresh start. Guess what she doesn’t get? Two months later, she is charged with the manslaughter for Zoe Spanos, a girl whose body shows up in a nearby lake. That’s when a local crime podcast host steps in to figure out what really happened to Zoe Spanos. This book is scheduled to be released on June 30th.
A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow
A book about sirens! I’m already a fan! This story revolves around two girls, Tavia and Effie, who must navigate a world against sirens while also coming to terms with their pasts. This book was released on June 2nd.
My Eyes are Up Here by Laura Zimmermann
Everything changes for Greer the year her body decides to give her a body that requires her to wear a 30H bra. This books follows Greer’s journey as she strives to discover who she is, even in an ever-changing body and environment. This sounds like a fantastic debut novel that is scheduled to be release on June 23rd.
Adult Releases:
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon
This is the first book in an upcoming series and looks like it will be so good! Samiah finds out, through a viral tweet gone wrong, that her boyfriend has been three-timing her. That’s right. Three! So she and the two other women decide to move in together and begin anew, which includes swearing off men. Except, it’s never that easy, especially when Samiah works with a dreamy man that seems too good to be true. This book is due to hit the shelves on June 9th.
Head Over Heels by Hannah Orenstein
I’ve been hearing sooooo much about this book and I can’t wait to read it! Avery, an ex-Olympic-aspiring gymnast, has had a hard 7 years. As a series of disastrous events shake her world, she decides to return to her hometown in Massachusetts. There, she finds new opportunities and new men to turn her head, but what if the past refuses to stay in the past? This book is due to be released on June 23rd.
I Was Told It Would Get Easier by Abbi Waxman
A mother-daughter college road trip? Heck yes! I remember going on one of these with my mom so I’m always eager to see how my experience relates. Jessica and Emily have different ideas about how they want this college road trip to go. Together, they travel the east coast on a trip that will have them questioning their mother-daughter bond over surprises and secrets. This book will hit the shelves on June 16th.
And that about does it for me! There are so many other great books coming out in June so if I missed one you’re highly anticipating, comment it down below. I’d love to check it out!
